On this page you will find current information about the condition of the ice falls in the Malta Valley. We offer this service from the end of December to the beginning of March. The ice report is changed once a week and after significant weather changes.

Aktuelle Situation: Während der letzten Wochen konnte sich das Eis im Maltatal leider sicht sehr gut entwickeln. Wenig Niederschlag und immer wieder hohe Temperaturen haben sich negativ auf die Eisentbildung ausgewirkt. Der Niederschlag der letzten Tage und die aktuell tiefen Temperaturen lassen auf eine Verbesserung hoffen. Achtung: Nach einem heftigen Sturm in der letzten Nacht ist bedingt durch umgefallene Bäume die Straße ab dem Bereich „Strannerbach“ nicht passierbar!

Current situation: Unfortunately, the ice in the Malta Valley has not been able to develop very well over the last few weeks. Little precipitation and repeatedly high temperatures have had a negative impact on ice development. The precipitation of the last few days and the current low temperatures give hope for an improvement. Attention: After a heavy storm last night, the road from the „Strannerbach“ area into the valley is not passable due to fallen trees!
